Licensure Classes

Full

Fully licensed professional in the designated health profession.

Provisional/Conditional

Licensed professional in the designated health profession who is subject to limits or conditions until they have demonstrated entry to practice competence.

Temporary

Licensed in the designated health profession on a temporary basis.

Non-Practising

A non-practising member is registered with the college but has chosen not to practise and therefore is not permitted to practise.

Student

Licensed in the designated health profession but not permitted to practise.

Suspended

Licensee is currently not permitted to practice as a result of an Inquiry or Discipline proceeding regarding conduct, competence and/or fitness matters.

Former

License is cancelled; the individual is no longer licensed to practice in the designated health profession.

Certifications

If the licensee has been granted any certified practices permitted by the Regulation, they will be listed here

Conditions/Limitations

If there are any conditions or limitations on the License, they will be listed here. Additional information about conduct or competence related conditions/limits may be found on the Public Notices page.

What this registry includes:

Name, registration information, certification and employment information of licensees of the college. Also includes information about former licensees whose registration was cancelled less than five years previously. Information about conduct or competence related conditions/limits may be found on the Public Notices page.

What this registry does not include:

Information on former licensees who have been inactive for more than five years

It is each licensees responsibility to ensure their information is accurate. Licensees can update their information through the profile update located on their licensee portal.

The public registry is intended for the search of individual professionals registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC to facilitate professional contact or verify licensure status. The information is not to be used for any commercial, marketing, or fundraising purposes.
